The classic Chianti Classico At Azienda Agricola Il Poggiolino, they make wine according to ancient methods, scarifying quantity in the name of quality
Her family has owned Azienda Agricola Il Poggiolino for more than thirty years and wine, for her, is a way of life. Her first desire is to keep on the activity created by her father with love and passion. She is Alessandra Pacini, owner of the winery she manages with her husband Alberto. They produce high quality wines with a strong character and particularly bonded with their territory. Il Poggiolino has always been a member of Consorzio del Gallo Nero and produces Chianti Classico according to the traditional methods, aiming at
a growing quality. The winery owns two hectares of olive groves, twelve hectares of wood and six hectares of vineyards, where grow a 75% of Sangiovese, a 5% of Canaiolo, a 10% of white berry varieties and another 10% of red berry selected varieties. Beside Chianti Classico the winery produce a Chianti Classico Riserva and Riserva Le Balze, both vinified only in the best years, and also an excellent Rosato, a perfumed and fresh wine, ideal with every kind of dish. It’s also to be mentioned a production of Grappa, thanks to the cooperation of the external distillery, and an excellent Vin Santo made of Chianti Classico Doc 1983.
