This wine is exalted as the ultimate expression of Sangiovese, the emblem of the Chianti Classico, coupled with a history like the native grape colorino that are harvested and vinified separately for different maturity. The wines are blended before aging in oak that help create a large and traditional Chianti Classico. The witnesses of this are the bottles found in private collection ranging from 1965 to present time.


The wines of Poggiolino have a slow evolution so that even the Chianti Classico vintage still in barrels from the 25 HL Slavonian oak barrels in the third step for 18/24 months before being bottled, after tunig for minimum three months in bottle before selling. 

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red color with violet hues with aromas of fruit balanced with hints of aging classic.
The taste is warm full-bodied sound fresh, harmonious and velvety.

Height S.L.M. 250/300 meters with slopes very high, very rich in dissolved skeleton (marl and limestone) with good freshness.

In stainless steel tanks where the fermentation and maceration come to a period of 15/20 days with three daily pumping over.
